Terms
Terms of service
What you get, what we expect, and what happens when something goes wrong.
What you are buying
Two separate things: a physical card, which is yours outright once delivered, and a period of service that keeps your profile resolving. They are tracked separately throughout. If the service lapses, the card remains your property and resumes working when you renew. We will not require you to buy new hardware to restart a plan.
Your account
You are responsible for what your profile shows and for keeping your password to yourself. Usernames are first come, first served, with names that impersonate MARK, collide with our routes, or exist to impersonate someone else held back or reclaimed.
Acceptable use
Do not use MARK to impersonate a person or organisation, to harass anyone, to distribute malware, or to host content that is illegal where you or your visitors are. We remove profiles that do, and we will disable a card that is being used that way. Anyone can report a profile without an account.
Cards
Report a card lost and we disable it, which stops it opening your profile immediately. A replacement carries your profile across. Cards issued by an organisation belong to that organisation: it can disable or reassign them, including when you leave. Your personal MARK account is unaffected by that.
Payment and refunds
Prices are in Naira and charged through our payment provider. Before a card enters production we will refund an order in full. After it has been personalised and printed we cannot resell it, so refunds at that stage are handled case by case — ask, and we will be reasonable about it.
Availability
We aim to keep the service up and to keep card resolution fast, because a card that does not open in front of another person is worse than no card. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee on standard plans. Enterprise agreements can include one.
Ending it
You can stop using MARK at any time and ask us to close your account and erase your data. We may suspend an account that breaches the acceptable use section above, and will say why when we do.
